Summer Must Haves with ShopBop

Today is all about my favorite summer must have items at ShopBop.

When I think of summer I always think of some cute sandals, heels  & flats that are similar here from Paloma Barcelo. I also love back packs that are similar from Herschel Supply & Fjallraven and some cute polka dot tennis shoes and more from Superga & Tretorn

Oh my, when I saw that mint kimono and yellow/white skater dress, I was like that would be such a cute outfit with some leggings and boots! I have most of these items in my check out list, and totally going to be sporting it. I've been eyeing that checkered/gimgham dress (#6) and I was like that is so adorable! I could wear that in the summer, spring and for fall and winter just put a cute jacket and some tights and boots! Ahh. So excited for fall and these items! :) 
I have never had aztec jeans and thought those would be so cute to sport them! Plus, since they are jeans you don't have to worry about covering your butt when you have aztec leggings.

Kimono's are just so much fun to style them even by a designer named Chie Duncan of Vivat Veritas. Chie is the most adorable designer in Tokyo, she's really nice when your working and talking with her through email. This kimono is just the most gorgeous item, even in person it is too. You can definatley wear this for any occasion. I wore this to class exactly like this and everyone was like OMG where is that kimono from? Well now you all know where its from even my classmates that know what my site is now. 

Can you believe its August? I'm not really excited that summer is almost done. Really not excited for another round of winter in Utah. I wish it would just snow in the mountains and just rain down here. Then I go back to my part time job at the end of august and then another round of Fall Semester Classes. I love that I get 3 months of work off, so I can take 6 or 10 classes during the summer. Yes I still take that many during the fall and spring too. Your probably wondering how the heck can you do part time job, full time school and fashion blogging...Well at first it was hard because I was trying to figure out this blog, then I got the hang of it and still get A's and B+'s. This summer my classes I took ended up going into a higher GPA and got a 4.0! Woohoo! I'm not finished with my bachelors but I am almost done soon, but it's always awesome to see that your total GPA went up to a 4.0! :)

Seven Tips on Finding The Perfect Jeans

Like I said in the title of this post I will give you my tips on how I choose my jeans for me. Being 5"10 it's a bit difficult for all of us tall peeps right? These jeans I'm wearing are absolutely my favorite ever after getting them; at first I was like I hope they fit and when I put them on I was in "awe" about them. They fit my body and are super comfortable that walking isn't a hassle. You know when you can feel your underwear rise up or if your sweaty the jeans are not amazing to be wearing. My Tips on finding the perfect pair of jeans:

1) I look at what it is made of, if it has Ramie with cotton and polyester and spandex I love them. They give it the more stretchy feel and you don't have to be uncomfortable. These jeans have all three of those types of parts to it.

2) If they come in longer sizes. I love AMI for their jeans for that reason. They have really long pants, even these ones I'm wearing are pretty long. Most places like target don't carry long sizes, so the pants fit really ridiculous. I've been to Old Navy and there jeans are just too short for me, but it's always online that have the longer ones; never tried their pants online so I'm not sure if they are great being long or not.

3) IF they are soft pairs of pants. You know when you touch it and you swoon over them like you can get your head off of them. Yes, these pants are just too soft for words. I do own 2 other pairs of jeans from AMI, and I'm always looking at their site everyday!

4) Jeans that make your legs look thinner than they usually are are the best for me in my opinion. If the pants come with a streak or something to make your legs leaner and longer. I usually end up getting just dark denim since I have muscly legs from ice skating, so I find it hard trying to find "lighter jeans" to make my legs look good. These jeans are light and dark and I love it; the darkness of the parts highlight the areas that can "pretend" to make your legs longer.

5) Making your butt look good. Enough said, do you want your butt to look good, find jeans that lift your butt up like these do. I did that shot for a reason, because it made my but look just amazing and it's always great to be like, "Ohhh yeahhhh I have a nice butt and what are you going to do about it ehhh?".

6) I usually end up getting a size down from what i usually wear, because most jeans stretch like crazy. Depending on the jeans I can usually go one size down or 2 sizes down depending on the spandex index they say.

7) Most of the jeans I buy are in the USA, I'm always afraid to get jeans from Europe or China since the measuring is sometimes wrong, but US jeans I know what I wear. So I guess it depends on how you like to buy your jeans too.

How adorable are these items! I'm really loving those pink heels with the gold in them, they are just so cute! Plus that swimsuit would be perfect for a July 4th party at the swimming pool. Plus you can be all out and not have to worry about trying to find the perfect red white and blue outfit. Ahhhh, I'm obsessed with gladiator sandals and these babies are just what everyone needs in their closet! :)
Who doesn't love summer item's, it's always a joy to find new item's for really great prices. All these item's are all under 30 bucks!!! How ridiculous is that! I love when you can get great deals on great items. I own a pair of those types of jeans from that store, and they are LONG! Hallelujah , finally a store that has long jeans that fit properly!
