Tropical Islands, Rugby, Ceremonies, Jungles, and relaxation. When you think of Fiji, you think of tropical islands and just so much fun right? It's definitely a tropical island, but very remote and expensive. If you decide to go to Fiji, I would definitely stay there for 1 week. Two weeks is too much, if you are a person that is on the go, then this place will not be that much fun. I loved it, but being remote had its downtime. I thought there would be more to do, but if you want to go hiking, you will need to pay 30 Fiji Dollars which is 15 USD and a 10 FJ Dollar for kava for the chief. If you just want to relax and hang at the beach then this place is definitely your doing.
Fiji is known as the Relaxation and being all good. They are also known as the Happy People. Everywhere you go in Fiji, everyone says BULA (which is Hi). Everyone where ever you go will say it. So, you might be annoyed by saying hi every 5 seconds, but they are really nice.
I wish I knew there was a cruise type boat that takes you to multiple locations. We found this out when we went swimming with reef sharks. I would recommend trying to find this cruise ship and taking the cruise to multiple islands. That would be a fun time, but instead, we went to Suva Suva which is the most remote island in Fiji. It has mostly 10 stores in the "main" town.

Two Weeks IN FIJI ITINERARY
FIRST STOP: Suva Suva Island (7 DAYS)
We landed in Nadi, Fiji at around 7am, we had our flight at 330 pm to go to Suva. I would recommend getting the earliest flight when you land in Nadi, so you aren't hanging at the airport for 7 hours. Anyways, once you go to the terminal to go to Suva Suva, you go on a plane that's a 4-10 seater plane. It's awesome because you get to see all the pretty islands while you go there. The flight is about 1.5 hours from Nadi to Suva Suva. Once you get to Suva Suva, you are in an open airport. Which is the airport is just outside.
Once you get there, make sure you get a car rental, taxies are 80 dollars to get one. So it's best to get a 4x4 car and it'll be better. We got our car and went to our Airbnb. Which you can see (here). We stayed at the Koko Resort in Suva. If you are looking for an awesome house on top of the mountain you will love it with the views.Suva Suva is very remote. You can go hiking but you need to pay 30 bucks to do any hikes. I think they shouldn't do this because where I live to go hiking in Utah, you do not need to pay only if its a national park.
All the hikes go through villages and you need to do a ceremony before going on your hike. I would suggest just doing one so you get the experience.
THINGS TO DO IN Suva Suva Island
The things you can do in Suva is Mud Pools (we didn't have time to do this because they had a funeral and they close the city and activities to do it). We went hiking to waterfalls, we just did 2 because paying 30 bucks and 10 kava is a lot to just hike. You can shop around the tiny town, but it closes right at 5pm. Which is strange, because they run on FIJI time which means no clocks, but the city closes at 5pm. If you are wanting to do stuff after 5pm, good luck nothing is open or nothing really to do.
This place is best for just relaxing at your house and swimming.

NADI Island (main Island) (7 DAYS)
THINGS TO DO on the Nadi ISLAND
Things you can do is go hike to different forests, go shark diving or snorkeling, walk around the Pier in the main town in Nadi, score some amazing clothing deals around the main town. Relaxing is mostly the key to Fiji. There is one main road on the main island, so you can basically drive around the whole island if you wish too!
