Staying at the Movenpick Resort in Egypt

Hello Aswan! This tiny city is in Aswan, Egypt!

This hotel is in the middle of an island on the Nile River, you can see so many feluccas and cruise ships coasting by.

Here’s my experience staying at the Movenpick Resort in Aswan!

GETTING THERE

We took an overnight train to Aswan from Cairo, but they do have some flights or you can hire a driver if you need to get to Aswan. How to get to the hotel you may ask since it is on an island. You will get dropped off at a dock and you will take a free ride in a boat which is pretty awesome! 

THE Hotel

This pretty resort is on an island on the Nile River. It's a cool resort and has 15 floors and you can eat at the restaurant on the 15th floor and see everything from above. Its an awesome hotel and seems like the only hotel that looks nice than the other ones in Aswan. I would recommend staying here if you are in the southern part of Egypt.

THE ROOM

Seems like all the hotels in Egypt are all fancy or you end up with a suite, ours was a 2 story room. So we had a downstairs and an upstairs. The bed was very nice to sleep in. They have lots of sitting area and our screen door goes to the outside on the grassy area where you can have a picnic or just walk around the hotel and check out the Nile River.

The breakfast was amazing, its a buffet but pretty awesome to eat!

DINING EXPERIENCES

We ate food on the 15th floor and it was an amazing food which was a lot of chicken or seafood, I did have the salmon with yummy greens. We also ate at the other restaurants and they were all superb. Most of the food was a buffet, so that's all you get in Egypt too is buffets for everyone.

LEISURE ACTIVITIES

The activities are you can see the Dam that the Russians built, lots of history, mosques, markets, the Nubian village, crocodiles in certain areas you can hold, and much more.
