Fitness Routine To Get Toned with DOVE® Chocolate Fruit & Nut #LoveDoveFruits

Every New Year I always try to make goals to improve my overall health and fitness is one of them. This year, I knew I needed to make some changes and wanted to be toned. I have been going to the gym and doing work out's at home and thought this would be great and to actually keep doing it. It's been quite a big difference and of course incorporating a yummy option like DOVE® Chocolate Fruit & Nut into any of my routines. It's ok to treat yourself towards a lifestyle change. Plus the DOVE® Dark Chocolate Strawberry & Cocoa Almond is just scrumptious. 
When I believe I'm ready to get toned, I go for it. And of course why not incorporate DOVE® Chocolate Fruit & Nut  as part of your work out. I will have chocolate before and after to give me that boost of energy and these DOVE® Chocolate Fruit & Nut are the delcious! You shouldn't rush your work outs. If you want to see more improvement then I suggest using weights.
I have done ice skating for 13 years starting at age 5 and ended at age 18; so now I do it for fun and it's a great work out. I would suggest you just go around the ice rink as many times as you can for 2-3 hours, no jumps or anything. Get the heart rate going and your leg muscles can be toned doing that.
I decided to get toned this summer and of course the rest of the year, but this summer seems like I'm going to be doing a lot of swimsuit stuff; so I should totally get toned just in case I run into that special someone. I try to work out as much as I can and being a student, it's really hard to get a work out in.

One of my first tips I like to do is get a smart snack. I'm always hungry all the time and why not have some smart delicious snacks, like DOVE® Chocolate Fruit & Nut that you can enjoy before and after your workouts. I will add it to my lunch at work as well. Also, if you love chocolate as much as me; it's really amazing with peanuts too. Just add a bowl with the DOVE® Chocolate Fruit & Nut and put peanuts and theres another snack to munch on. 


My 5 Moves To Getting Toned This Summer

1) Arms Curl Work Out- Get those arms ready for summer:
          -To get the arms for tank tops or summer dresses all you gotta do is do 
            Curl up and down with both arms. Start with one arm down and one up
            then keep doing it for 25 reps then rest then do it x6 or as much as you can go for.




2) Planks! 
  -This will tighten up your core if you can do it for one minute for x6 more times.



3) Squat with leg raise x25
        -Basically a regular squat with a leg raise when you get up. So I do one side at a time, I'll do 25 sets on one leg then do the other leg and raise it 25 more time. I rest for a min then do it 10 more times. This will get your butt looking good!

4) Wide Leg Squats 25
          -Spread your legs a little wider than a normal squat then just start doing 25 wide legs squats then rest for 30 seconds then do it 10 more times.




5) Ice Skating
          -If you ice skate for about 2-3 hours on the ice this will help you get your heart rate going and can tone up your legs. Going fast around the ice rink and doing moves in the field can tighten those legs. I would try to do this Friday, Saturday and Sunday and a Wednesday for 2-3 hours.
When you're doing your work outs don't forget to take breaks, drink lots of water and stretch as well. When you do this you will make your body feel good. You must breathe as well, if you don't breathe then your work outs will not really be efficient. 
I do squats everyday and try to start off by 25 reps, then the next day do 30 and so on. For arms I will do them every other day, I do more moves, but the up and down laterals with the dumbbells will make your arms look great for that dress.

I'm in my mid 20's, but it's better to stay active and stay in shape. I don't want to be a stick (sometimes I do), but getting that toned body is a dream. Your body will love you no matter what. Plus when you work out your LDL level's decrease and your HDL levels will increase a lot--which is great.
I will still reward myself with chocolate. And whats even better for your work out after is DOVE® Chocolate Fruit & Nut, and you get chocolate and yummy fruit and nuts. This is a smart treat after a work out.
